Championing the local fashion
industry through Australian Made

We're proud to support Australian skills, jobs and manufacturing.
Our return to Australian Made began with a select range of accessories, before expanding into a small run of locally made garments in 2021.

2021

Partnering with apparel and textiles mill, ABMT, we reissued one of our most iconic designs—the 90s Reissue Sweat—using fabric knitted, dyed and embroidered in Melbourne.

Since then, we have continued to work with ABMT on local designs including our Australian Made T-Shirt.

2022

We collaborated with Melbourne-based manufacturer, Vince Clothing, to reissue our 1984 Chambray Shirt.

Made using Australian cotton, the shirt was meticulously researched down to the finest detail to recreate the original design.

2023

Together with Ngen'giwumirri man and artist Kieren Karritpul, we worked through a considered process of co-design to launch an 8-piece homewares range. Made in collaboration with local manufacturers Bendigo Pottery and Printink Studio, each design was deeply influenced by Kieren's artworks and stories of Country.

2024

We collaborated with researcher Miriam Borcherdt and local textile businesses to redesign and remanufacture past-season Country Road garments.

Expanding on our circularity initiatives, we also worked with streetwear label and social enterprise HoMie, reimagining our iconic Heritage Sweat from existing designs. The sweats were reworked by the HoMie team, and remanufactured at ABMT.

2024

We partnered with Australia's oldest working textile mill, Tasmania's Waverley Mills, to reissue a 1994 design using Australian Merino wool.

Following this Home partnership, we collaborated with Melbourne pottery Robert Gordon, and introduced a locally made scent range.
